Hi! I am a mother of 3 boys, 2 cats and one dog! I have always loved photography, I am passing this onto my kids. We do alot of nature walking and photography. Everywhere we go we take our cameras. I think that photography is one of the best hobbies / interests that anyone can have, as it encourages one to learn a multitude of things, eg, if you want those underwater photos, you have to learn to dive (which I did!) If you want those African Safari photos, you have to go get them (its on our to do list)
I have been useing cameras since I was big enough to press the shutter button! I got my very first camera when I was about 8 years old. My parents were sick of me always useing theirs, so they decided it was better for me to have my own! Cameras sure have changed alot over the years! Digital photography has opened up a whole new avenue of photography. Its awesome to be able to share my love of photography with my kids, and to be able to let all 3 of them go wild with cameras and see the amazing things they turn out!
I currently have a Cannon EOS 550D. I love it! I take it everywhere with me

We recently bought a Canon EOS50D Pro camera, and we love using it so far (just have to pay it off now!). We hope you enjoy our photos, and we are keen to grow in our abilities to produce fine art and photography, so we would love (and need) to get as much support as possible from YOU. All comments are welcome, and I will look forward to reading them! Please support us on our journey.

David Tate
Having been involved with photography for most of my life I now use this passion both in my professional work and as my primary hobby. I find work is not so much work if you enjoy the work you do and I get a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when someone else can enjoy something I may have discovered or managed to capture through my lens.
Over the years and particularly when involved in portrait photography, communication has been a major factor in my success. I have undertaken many types of photography but still consider portrait, event photography and landscape to my three favorite subject matters and certinaly areas where I have managed the majority of awards and recognition.
I welcome your comments. images copyright ©David Tate Copying, displaying, manipulating or redistribution of any image from this portfolio without permission is strictly prohibited.

Motorcross photography is my hobby. My love and interest for Motocross started already when I was young (12 years old).
My real involvement in MX started when I was living New Zealand in the early '80's when I was doing some riding myself.
After returning back to Holland I became a mechanic for one of the top European riders in the '80's. Gerard Rond, also a Dutchman, was riding in the Grand Prix 500cc class and won Gold at the ISDE in Spain in 1985.
In 2006 & 2007 I helped Tony Cooksley in Europe with his races and took photos of his campaign to become the World Veteran Champion in 2007.

I was brought up in the high country, up the Rakaia River and farmed the family farm for a few years before living in Auckland. (past 23 years) I guess that makes me of a crossbred; half Cantabrian, half Aucklander. Whatever, I'm a keen amateur, but what really gets me going is helping people build profitable teams. (Go to www.profitableteams.com for more about me) In my work I use photography to illustrate metaphors and help people appreciate how other see them.
My business partner, David Tate, who has been a premium member of Photo Sales for many years, and I bought Photo Sales in early 2011, because we saw a huge opportunity in Photo Sales to build greater community and enhance the support for people who want to make money from their photography.

I do Photography as a hobby and love the art of photography. I am now learning more and making it more full time.
I lived in the most picturesque area for sunsets on the Coromandel Peninsula but have since relocated to Auckland.
My photography is exactly what was taken, no alterations, perfectly natural photography as the name suggests.
I do however change a few for artistic views but most sunsets are exactly what I saw when taking the picture.
I hope you like the beauty I captured

I was born and raised in West Auckland, New Zealand and moved to the Rodney District when i was sixteen where I continue to reside. My interest in photography came due to the inspirational scenes i would see when surfcasting and out in the family boat while growing up.
My love of the natural environment and local wildlife allows me to convey the scenes that i see. Nature offers an infinity of views and changing light. There are great photographs waiting to be found everywhere, everyday. But they are almost never to be found easily. It takes the vision of an artist, along with the tenacity of a hunter, to find a great photograph in nature.
The best thing about photographing nature is being outdoors. Generally in locations that are remote, isolated and raw allows you to connect with nature. Waiting for the scene to have the right light or flare of colour palette that your waiting to capture, sitting and soaking in the environment, waiting for that perfect moment to click the shutter and capture your vision.

Recently I have been toying with the idea of starting a hobby. Something I love, something to potter with when the time allows, something that fits in with life, yet is something I am good at and enjoy. Something that i would call'My Passion'.
I finally have found that passion. Photography. Thinking back, I have always had a special yearn there for photography. I remember many years ago, finding in our garage an old trunk belonging to my Grandad. Inside was an old old camera. I remember being enthralled by the size of it. It never had any film in it, just packed away for safe keeping. Over the years I have taken alot of photos. From the good old black and white film to today with the very sophisticated digital camera which I am proud to own. I am now the proud owner of a digital camera. I spend alot of time at the beach here at Mount Maunganui and surrounds. The best thing is the feeling of having had a great day shooting photo's. So very rewarding.
Feel free to contact me on karen@karenorrphotography.com for any enquiries.
Love to hear from you!

In my early years I was steeped in photography. My grandfather had a collection of cameras including a halfplate (glass) camera he had used to take landscapes and produce postcards of pre 1940 Auckland. He ignited my passion for photography. I currently use a Canon dSLR with a selection of lenses for most of my photography and a Canon G9 where I need to be less obtrusive. My photographic interests span a wide genre of compositional subjects but I have a special interest in things historical - both architectural and mechanical. I also have an interest in producing "textured" backgrounds which can be used with presentation programs such as Powerpoint or Impress or as backgrounds for text in other situations e.g. greeting cards. I am also experimenting with creating panoramas and triptychs. Please contact me regarding commercial use of my images.

Caught the photography bug as a kid when my Grandfather gave me his old Box Brownie camera, was the youngest member of the New Zealand photograph society for many years, really enjoyed the photography but could never afford the film.
Then with other interests and the pressures of work I never had the time need.
Then going digital revived my interest in photography and literally opened my eyes to new opportunities - it transformed my photography from merely documenting what I have seen into actually creating images. “I enjoy simpler things one day at a time” I love taking photos. especially wildlife and nature Photography.
Primary interest now is bird photography.
Active interest in Endangered Species, Environment Conservation.

Hello and thanks for dropping by! Here's a little bit about myself...
Personal Mini Bio
Born and bred in Spain, I left the country at the young age of 25. I spent 1 year in Germany and the following 9 in England, where I met my husband. In 2005 we sold pretty much everything we owned and set off on a trip of a lifetime. We went backpacking through South, Central and North America, Australia and New Zealand - a total of 16 countries in 21 exciting months.
Although we went back to the England for another 15 months, we eventually emigrated to New Zealand in 2008, and we're loving it here!! After spending the first 3 years in the beautiful Hibiscus Coast, we are currently based in Hamilton.
Professional Mini Bio
During the week I work as a freelance website developer. Photography has always been a favourite hobby of mine and I rarely go anywhere without my camera(s). Last year (2011), I decided to take my hobby a step further and uploaded my first pictures onto Photosales. Soon after I photographed my first sporting event, a very different type of photography to what I was used to - and I loved it!! I have since covered a few more events and hope to continue doing so this year.
Other Skills / Additional Information
I am a bit of dab hand at Photoshop - if you require photo manipulation services please get in touch. There are some examples on my facebook page if you'd like to take a took; just click on Photos, then Photo Manipulation.
I love getting constructive feedback on my work and I view every job as an opportunity to learn and develop my skills further.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish, very outgoing and good with people, so if you are looking for a photographer for your next event, I'd love to hear from you!

I was born in Auckland in 1973. I received my first camera at the age of four, but like most kids broke it pretty quickly. My next camera didn't come along until I was in my early teens, which is when I developed a strong interest in photography. In Fourth Form (year 10)the school photography teacher gave my friends and I a couple of lessons on Black & White Photography and Film development. This is when I really became interested in Photography. It is easy to pick up a camera and take a photo, but the real challenge is to capture the spirit and emotion of a setting/subject. In my late teens other interests arose and photography was pushed to the backburner. My interest was rekindled when my niece asked me to help her with a school project that entailed creating and selling a product. Her chosen product was photos of Tutukaka Coast. As a child I loved perusing photo albums. It didn't matter what the photos were of or who was in them, My interest was the story being told by the photos.

My background is as a Chef and a Product Development Technologist in the food industry, with nearly 20 years of experience. Photography is my stress release and my way of capturing the world around me. My interest for photography developed long before my career in the food industry started. Buying my first SLR when I was 16 and modelling as a pre teen & teenager for the award winning photo enthusiast's in my family and for the Hastings Camera Club. I aspire to some day capture my passions for food and photography in a cookbook or two.
I am a member of the Hawke's Bay Photographic Society Inc., I previously was the secretary for 2 years, having recently resigned to devote more time to family and work interests (www.hbps.co.nz). I am also a student /emerging member of NZIPP.

My first camera was am Kodak Instamatic ages ago, I them developed via a manual SLR (Fujica) to digital PAS, a Nikon Coolpix 4500. Great for close up photos. After a Canon EOS 400 I now work with a 7D.
Some people say my camera must be somehow attached to me, but this can't be true for the body has changed :-)

I have a passion for photography. It is a rare occasion for me to be seen out without my trusty camera. I love taking photos of people, places and events. I also enjoy capturing the natural beauty of our landscape, flora and fauna.
I believe in the art of photography, creating beautiful pictures with the camera, without the need for any digital enhancement or manipulation.
I hope you enjoy this selection of images which represent a wide spectrum of subjects. Please feel free to contact me about any of the pictures you see here.

A wedding is a happy occasion full of love, laughter and spontaneity - so why not have pictures which reflect that?
I believe my work, whether it be a sculpture or photography only becomes art when it is appreciated by someone other than the artist!
I turned my camera to towards weddings when Jackie became a celebrant, the synergy of working with your wife who is also my best friend is magic, both having talents that complement each others profession .
I never forget it's your wedding day - not my photo shoot. I promise you'll have great pictures, look amazing and have a great time too
Your wedding photography should be more than just having someone take a few snaps. Apart from your marriage itself - it's the longest lasting part of your wedding day.
Chances are you've never been photographed as intensively as you will be at your wedding. Make sure the pictures are what you want - and the photographer is someone you'll enjoy having around.
I love being a wedding and lifestyle photographer and I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to capture and document, the memories, love, look and the happiness in my work
My previous career spanned both sculpturing and plaster casting before fulfilling my dream in photography.
I approach weddings and lifestyle portrait photography in a way that leads to an intimate and artful expression resulting in images that reflect your unique personality, capturing the natural mood of the day that will be cherished in your family for years to come

Welcome to my webpage Sue's Creations, Photography of New Zealand.
You are currently viewing my 30 gallery photos and 8 of my best picks. These photos will change regulary. To view all of my photos simply click on ALL PHOTOS. Alternatively you can view some of my photos on TradeMe, member name Subee1.
For me Photography is a form of Art. A good photograph comes from inspiration, vision and passion. It allows me to express myself through my images. I believe my photographs depict the beauty of New Zealand in many varied ways. If you love this country and its beauty as much as I do then I am sure you will love my photographs.
Most of my photographs are taken with a film camera, with only a very small percentage of my photographs taken with a digital camera. I do not believe in altering photographs digitally, so the photographs you see are what I have taken, no enhancements alterations etc, this applies to ALL the photographs, both film and digital. Negatives of all the photographs you see on this website have been scanned with a Canon PIXMA Photo Inkjet Printer(except for the digital), for superior scanning quality. This has enabled me to put the photographs onto my computer without compromising the quality. None of the photographs have been altered in anyway, however due to the scanning process, please be aware that the images may appear slightly different compared to the finished product, this refers to depth of colours rather than that photographs have been edited or altered.
Enjoy the site and please feel free to ask questions or submit comments by using the CONTACT page OR e-mail me at sue.michelle@clear.net.nz. Alternatively if you find it easier view my photographs at TradeMe username Subee1 and ask questions on my photographs, which for some people is an easier process, especially if you want quotes on enlargements and canvas prints.

I am 26, a Mother, a Partner, have a BA degree in Education - (Primary), and I am an incredibly passionate photographer :)
I do not really like perfection, my life is not perfect, most peoples lives are not, so most of my photos tend to be on the go with natural surroundings, emotions and expressions :)
My belief is that beyond the surface lies the story, I strive to tell that story :)
For many years my subjects have been my beloved children. They taught me the pricelessness of a photo, they taught me patience and they taught me one photo is never, ever, enough :)

I have had an interest in photography for most of my life. My first camera was a little Kodak 110. I graduated to my Nikon D50 after getting frustrated with not being able to take the types shots I could imagine from my point-and-shoot.
As I live in West Auckland most of my photos are from the west coast or general Auckland region.
